Owners Jono and Tam say the menu revamp reflects their vision to make The Merino Restaurant a dining destination for both travellers and locals.
“We wanted to create a menu that celebrates the best of what our region has to offer,” Tam said. “It’s a mix of classic comfort dishes, fresh seasonal options, and a few surprises to keep things interesting.”
The new offerings include locally sourced meats and vegetables, freshly prepared salads, and indulgent desserts, alongside popular pub-style meals and lighter choices for health-conscious diners. The restaurant will also feature daily specials, ensuring there’s always something new to try.

The Merino Restaurant is open to both motel guests and the public, with options for dine-in and takeaway. The launch of the new menu is part of a broader series of upgrades at the Merino Motor Inn, which has recently added luxurious pillow-top beds, super-fast Wi-Fi, a resurfaced pool, and huge OLED “Safe Casting” TVs.
